MEET THE STAFF
Angela Denton-Rachel has been a part of CCF since time began (or at least since 1989) as first a Graduate Student, then an Intern, then as Associate Campus Minister, then as Director, then as Part-time Associate Campus Minister (she had her second baby), and finally for the last 6 years as Director of Ministry. She loves college students and Campus Ministry! A perfect day at “work” for Angela includes a staff meeting (she loves her co-workers and likes to be bossy), a few one-on-ones with students, eating chocolate, a small group Bible study, some good worship time, and some frozen yogurt with M&Ms on it. Her other loves include being a Mom to her 2 adorable children – Abby 13 and Dylan 11 – and a wife to her amazing husband, Gary. She likes exercise, sports, chocolate, outside things, people, reading and her 2 kittens, Tiger and Lightning!

In 2011, Kristen started her journey at UGA as a freshman, where CCF members kindly assisted her, her twin, and her roommate with moving in. From there she was invited to an ice cream social and has been at CCF since. “We were impressed by the friendly atmosphere and started attending regularly.” After completing her degree in advertising and a minor in theater at UGA, she interned the following year and transitioned to a full-time role in January 2017. In Kristen’s free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and watching all 46 seasons of Survivor. She met her husband at CCF, and they tied the knot in December 2022. Their family also includes a husky mix named Molly.

Sandra found CCF as a freshman and got baptized at the CCF house in April of 2017. Ever since then she has known that God had called her to ministry and couldn’t wait to graduate so that she could intern with us. Sandra completed her degree in religion while student interning with us in 2021 and then came back as an MA for the following school year. CCF has really been a home for Sandra and she cannot wait to continue making it a home for others. If you don’t see her playing board games with students she is probably off reading book somewhere!

Donnie Holliday has lived in Athens, GA his entire life. After completing a B.S.Ed. degree from UGA, Donnie taught middle school students math and science for nine years. In 2009 Donnie moved out of the classroom into campus ministry. He has thoroughly enjoyed the move and loves sharing life with college students. Donnie does not view campus ministry as merely a job, but as an opportunity to be faithful with who God has trusted him. He is humbled and thankful everyday that God has blessed him with the opportunity to minister to college students. Donnie and his wife, Beth, met in campus ministry at UGA. They married in 2003. Donnie and Beth welcomed their first daughter, Lexie, into the world in March 2008. In March of 2013, they welcomed their second daughter, Kerrington. The girls remind them on a daily basis that the Kingdom of God belongs to those that would receive it like little children. Donnie enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, sports, and reading.

Denise discovered CCF during her junior year at UGA at a summer orientation fair. After attending CCF's summer Dinner and a Message event (known as HOT DAAM), she became heavily involved during her senior year. Denise interned at CCF for three years before officially joining the staff in June 2024. She has a passion for cooking and eating, and aspires to include baking in her list of hobbies. Additionally, Denise enjoys homesteading, sewing, and embroidery. Her ultimate goal is to own a hands-on homesteading experience business in the future.

Brandon Helton found CCF in 2017 after completing his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Theater from Young Harris College. Before his career in ministry, Brandon worked in the field of religious education as a teaching assistant at the University of Georgia, specializing in early Christian history, religion in the Roman empire, and apocalyptic literature. After serving as a graduate assistant for two years, Brandon joined staff in the summer of 2023. Brandon wishes to share his passion for worship and education with our student community to help them grow in their understanding of God and their role in helping to build God’s kingdom on earth. In his free time, Brandon enjoys playing guitar, hiking, watching horror movies, and reading a good book.
